1. Leadership
a. The leadership of the Hope raidgroup consists of four people: Nahalia, Zarlak, Zelthar and Baelran. These characters are the final arbiter on matters and have the right to request actions from others.
b. Current officers in charge are: Ardius, Denki and Gwerian.
c. During a raid there will typically be one overall raid-leader (he is the one who makes the final calls on matters during the raid, for example only he can give a 'wipe' order), several officers in charge of groups of characters (eg. tanks, healers, dps'ers) and one person in charge of looting & DKP-bidding.

2. Communication
a. During raids we will use Ventrilo software to communicate. At the very least you are required to be able to listen in to vent, but a microphone is very useful.
b. When bidding for items, the Raid Channel is used by everyone to bid in, anyone not bidding must keep quiet.
c. All other (raid-)communication is done in the social channel.
d. Spamming of damage, healing or other similar meters to the public channels is not appreciated.

3. Looting
a. We use masterloot during raids.
b. It is the Main Looter's responsibility to communicate the loot.
c. Likewise, there will be one nominated Skinner and Miner. No one else skins or mines; all materials go to the Raid Bank.
d. Items will either be bidded for or go to the raid-bank; in the case of BoP-items, they will be sharded, and the shards will go to the Raid Bank.
e. All ingredients for crafting items will be used to equip raid members with advanced gears, raid- and class-leaders decide the order.

4. Bidding & DKP
a. Hope uses a fixed DKP-system where you get a specific amount of DKP for each raid (depending on length).
b. DKP is only used for 25-man raids; for 10-man raids, rolling is used.
c. Bidding is done in Raid-channel, with the Main Looter doing a 10-second count-down after the last bid is made.
d. Dont bid on loot that you do not really need (need means they upgrade your gear significally and support your class skills). Keep aware of the team benefit when bidding on loot! The leaders will interfere in extreme cases, if they see this rule broken or abused.
e. No selling of items: no matter how many DKP you spend on an item, it is NOT allowed to sell ANY BoE item you buy with DKP. Also, you bid on items for the character you are present with. BoE items, you don't bid on for alts.
f. For questions, feel free to contact Zelthar.

5. Preparations
a. All members understand the importance of being punctual. If you sign in, you are expected to show up in time, latest around 15 minutes before the designated starting-time. Giving us prior notice ("I will be there 15 minutes late because of work") will ofcourse be taken into consideration.
b. All members are expected to show up for raids well-prepared. That is, with repaired gear, with sufficient bandages (20), relevant potions and flasks and reagents. Don't expect the raid to provide these, everyone is expected to prepare himself as good as possible. Raiding costs money.
c. Similarly, all members are expected to keep up their gear as good as possible: sockets should be gemmed, items enchanted.
d. Read the provided tactics in advance.
e. Not coming prepared will lead to a warning initially (see Warnings & Punishments). In extreme cases we will try to replace you for that raid with someone who did prepare himself; in the worst case we will call a raid off (if replacements are not available).

6. Raiding days
a. Designated Raiding Days are: Wednesday (20.00-23.00), Friday (20.00-00.00) and Sunday (20.00-23.00).
b. Raids are announced via the in-game calendar.

7. Attendance
a. We expect that you either accept or decline a raid. If you are uncertain, ask an officer to put you on standby. Neither accepting nor declining is not an option.
b. If your attendance drops below 70% for a given time, you will be placed back to trialist-status.
c. If you are unable to attend for a longer period, keep us informed.
d. Not showing up for a raid after signing in will lead to a warning initially (see Warnings & Punishments).

8. Alts
a. You may join with an ALT under the following conditions:
  • Your current class does not require your attendance
  • The raid leader agrees on this
  • Your ALT fulfills all the requirements that go for mains
    b. You may bid with your ALT on items under the following conditions:
  • You are using your main's DKP
  • You cannot outbid a main on an item.

    9. Other groups
    a. When you raid with us, you raid with us only. Since the high-level raiding instances all save you to these instances, you cannot do an instance both with us and with another group. If you intend to apply with another group, at least have the courtesy to inform us.
    b. When you apply with another raid group, we will take this as signing out of Hope, and will remove you from our roster.

    10. Trial members
    a. New members go through a trial period which will be adjusted on an individual basis. During this period, you cannot outbid members. If we decide to put you on our roster, you will still get the DKP you earned during these raids.
    b. All other rules fully apply.

    11. Warning & Punishments
    a. In extreme cases, like outlined before, the raidleaders may issue a warning to a person. Such a warning is issued not because we like to be in control, but for one important reason only: by your behaviour you are reducing or downright ruining the fun of the other 24 people.
    b. Receiving another warning might mean getting removed from the raidgroup.
